This prayer came today from an old friend. The tools I need to navigate turmoil always amazingly appear when I am struggling hopelessly with mindlessness and ignorance. I hope this prayer inspires you as it did me.
News arrived yesterday From Nicole that my great- grandchild has been conceived. What a blessing life is.
Lord,
I thank You for this day. I thank you for my breath. I thank You for being able to see and hear this morning. I'm blessed that I have been forgiven for everything I have done, said or thought that was unkind and selfish; and your forgiveness occurred before my transgressions. I'm blessed You understand my weaknesses. You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me. May I never forget that your grace guides me get through all danger and harm.
Help me to start this day with a new attitude with plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day, keeping my mind clear to hear Your guidance.
Broaden my mind to accept all things out of my control without whining or whimpering.
Give me the best response when I ' m pushed beyond my limits.
May I learn to continue always in prayer. You listen to my heart. Use me to be a blessing to others.
Keep me strong that I may help the weak... Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others.
I pray that those who are lost will find their way. I pray that those who are misjudged and misunderstood will find compassion. I pray that those who are not happy, will have peace and freedom. I pray that those who are not free will be happy and have peace. I pray that those who need peace will be happy and free. For I know God changes people and things.
I pray that all my sisters, brothers, every family member and their households will have peace, love and joy. That their debts are removed and their needs are met. I pray that all will remember there are no problems, circumstances, or situations God will not help us through; that God is with us in every battle we fight. Finally, I ask that my faith and trust in God's grace will never falter.
May I never forget that God is LOVE.
